Learn More About Florence Attorney Gary W. Crawford

I grew up in Greer, South Carolina. Upon graduating from high school, I earned my B.A. in English from Presbyterian College. From 1966 to 1969, I served in the U.S. Army. I was honorably discharged as a Field Lieutenant in Field Artillery. I received a Bronze Star and Vietnamese Service and Campaign medals.

Upon my discharge, I attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 1972. For the rest of the decade, I was in government service, working as an Estate and Gift Tax Attorney for the IRS and as Assistant Minority Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs.

In 1980, I earned a Master of Laws in Taxation at the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary. In 1980, I also opened my private practice in Florence. Since then, I have devoted my practice to estate planning, probate, real estate, tax law and business law.

When you work with my law firm, you will have the benefit of working with my team. Rebecca, my wife of 47 years, is a major part of my success as a lawyer and is active in Florence's community, serving on numerous boards. Together with my paralegal and secretary, we are committed to delivering accessible, attentive client service and exceptional representation.
